I work as a software engineer in the Computational & Information Systems Lab (CISL) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).

Academic and Work timeline#

Below is a timeline of what Iโ€™ve been up to over the past several years.

Sept 2020: Promoted to Software Engineer ||

I continued leading the intake-ESM project. In addition, I joined the Jupyter Meets Earth project as a contributor. During this time, I helped with the development of the following projects:

  • jupyter-forward, a Jupyter Lab port forwarding utility that simplifies running jupyter on remote resources.

Oct 2018: Joined NCAR as Software Engineer |

After my work at Quansight, I joined NCAR as a fulltime Software Engineer I focusing my work around developing Python tools for climate data analysis. Here are a few of the main things I did during this time:

June 2018: Joined Quansight

After graduating I joined Quansight as a software developer intern. At Quansight, I developed xndframes, an experimental Pandas extension array backed by xnd. In addition to xndframes, I worked on cuDF a GPU dataframe library.

May 2018: Graduated from UA-Little Rock

Graduated from University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a B.S. in Systems Engineering.
